Preventive Health for Seniors is a collaborative project between the institutions Motum, Sporttherapie Huber & Mair, and Activemed Rum. The program promotes prevention in old age to improve mobility, muscle strength, and cognitive abilities, prevent falls and their consequences, and reduce overall mortality risk.
OUR GOAL
- Prevent mobility restrictions
- Avoid muscle loss and its effects on mobility and metabolism
- Prevent falls and their consequences (e.g., bone fractures)
- Maintain cognitive performance and prevent age-related dementia
- Reduce overall mortality risk
OUR PROMISE
At MOTUM, we combine years of experience, scientific standards, and expertise in sports science to provide sustainable support for our customers with chronic gait disorders affecting the knee, hip, ankle, or back. Our goal is to identify and reduce incorrect strain while strengthening the musculoskeletal system. We aim to answer the questions that concern our clients and patients, such as:
“Where do my musculoskeletal complaints come from?”
“How can I reduce or avoid them?”
“What and how much can I do right now?”
“How can I improve my condition?”
OUR PROGRAM
The Healthy Aging program consists of three packages, individually tailored to the participants' needs. Each package combines diagnostic tests for strength, coordination, and endurance with targeted training supervision.
- Package 1 includes basic strength and coordination tests as well as two personalized training plans, each with a one-on-one personal training session.
- Package 2 expands on this with an internal medical examination, spiroergometry, and additional training sessions.
- Package 3 offers the most comprehensive package, including detailed performance diagnostics, extended training supervision, and multiple re-tests to track progress.
OUR TARGET GROUP
Older adults who want to maintain or improve their mobility, muscle strength, and cognitive abilities. The program is especially suited for individuals who wish to actively prevent declining physical performance and reduce the risk of falls and their consequences, such as fractures. It is designed for health-conscious seniors as well as those experiencing early signs of physical limitations, aiming to enhance their quality of life through targeted training and medical support.
