A series of test packages supports the different objectives of our customers when it comes to a comeback after surgery, especially in the shoulder and leg area. From enthusiastic casual sportspeople to competitive athletes - we carry out specific tests with the aim of providing clarity and certainty around a comeback prognosis.

According to scientific standards, Return to Sport combines the elements of the Back in Action test battery with elements of movement quality and rotational movement components of agility.

The team of Gelenkpunkt, Sporttherapie Huber und Mair and the Institute of Sports Science Innsbruck have together developed a test battery to objectively assess the status of the rehabilitation process after injury to the upper limbs (shoulder, arm, elbow, hand). Mobility, strength and coordination are tested.

Duration and procedure
1 hour

The following five individual tests are carried out after a warm-up programme:

  • Shoulder Mobility
  • Upper Quarter Y-Balance Test
  • Closed Kinetic Chain Upper Extremity Stability Test
  • Isometric Hand Dynamometry
  • Seated Unilateral Shotput
Prerequisite:

Arm support force (push-ups as a starting position with the ability to lift one hand off the floor for a short time). Approval from a doctor/physiotherapist is required to carry out the test battery!

The team of Gelenkpunkt, Sporttherapie Huber und Mair and the Institute of Sports Science Innsbruck have jointly developed a test battery to objectively assess the status of the rehabilitation process after cruciate ligament injuries. It is used to evaluate the functional and strength state of all lower limbs and can therefore also be used for functional evaluation after foot, knee and hip complaints. Speed, strength, coordination, sensorimotor skills and movement quality are tested.

Duration and procedure
approx. 2 hours

The test itself takes about two hours. First, the bike is warmed up for 10 minutes, then the following seven individual tests are carried out:

  • Two-legged stabilisation test
  • One-legged stabilisation test
  • Two-legged jump
  • One-legged jump
  • Two-legged jump series in place
  • One-legged jump series in motion
  • Coordination tapping test in place

After the test, we do an isokinetic force measurement to compare the stretcher and flexor muscles in the knee.

Prerequisite:

For one-legged jumping, approval from a doctor/physiotherapist is required to complete the test battery!
